Partial list of LINC2 features:Introduction The program LINC2 (LINear Circuit Analysis version 2), is a circuit simulation program written for the Microsoft Windows (TM) graphical operating environment. The program uses schematic capture as well as a nodal circuit file description for circuit entry that is very similar to several of the most popular RF/Microwave simulator programs currently used in the industry today. This not only allows circuit files written for LINC2 to run on other simulators with little or no modification, but contributes to the program's ease of use because a new circuit language format does not have to be learned. A rich set of analysis tools and circuit performance indicators are provided. Additionally, the program offers many ways of displaying output, including Smith Charts, rectangular graphs, tabulated numeric data as well as printed output of the above. Program Features The following is a list of available features in LINC Standard version 2.72: Built in full-screen text editor for generating circuit files Importing and exporting of S-Parameter data Importing and exporting of circuit files Set of 18 analysis responses and performance indicators, including: The magnitude (dB or linear) and phase of Forward Gain (S21) Reverse Gain (S12) Input Reflection Coefficient/Return Loss (S11) Output Reflection Coefficient/Return Loss (S22) Group Delay Maximum Stable Gain (MSG) Stability indicators K and Delta Input impedance (Rin and Xin) Output impedance (Rout and Xout) Input and output VSWR Smith Chart displays of S11 and S22 Simultaneous rectangular graphs of any two circuit responses Numerical (tabular) display of all 18 circuit responses Smith Chart stability analysis - Stability circles on input/output reflection coefficient planes Display of Constant Available Power Gain Circles Display of Constant Operating Power Gain Circles Display of Constant Noise Circles Matching network synthesis Tuning - The ability to interactively change circuit component values while observing the circuit responses in real time Monte Carlo statistical analysis - Determine yields given component tolerances Hardcopy printing or plotting of Smith Charts, rectangular graphs, numerical data or circuit files RF design tools Matching network synthesis- Matches any complex source to any complex load Choice of matching network topologies- Lumped element or distributed (transmission lines); PI, T, L, transmission lines, open and short circuit stubs PI and T Pad design Microstrip and Stripline design Circles Utility for automated amplifier design based on Smith Chart displays of Operating Power Gain Circles Available Power Gain Circles Noise Circles- Gain and noise circles adjustable for design tradeoffs Stability Circles indicating the best choices for source and load terminations Simultaneous (bilateral) conjugate matching at both ports when stability permits Automatic matching network synthesis provides a wide selection of circuit topologies based on choices from circles data Simulation of complete circuit synthesized in the Circles Utility Schematic capture tool (LINC2 Professional version 2.72)- Easy entry of schematic with provision for invoking the simulator directly from the schematic page. Just click "Analyze", then view results. The schematic tool is available only in the professional version.
